Reminder
Me and Phil_QC flushed the brake fluid on my 94 Sol SiR. Needless to say, it was dirty as ****. Reminder to all of us who have older cars, flush the system once in a while. My brake pedal feel is a bit better, but mostly my Master Cylinder will not fail.
Write up but no pix....and a bad one at that, but hang with me.
This is how to flush your system
1. Get some DOT4 brake fluid. The boiling point is higher than DOT3 and it barely costs any more. I used 1 bottle + a few ml from a second bottle. You'll be fine with a 946ml bottle. As for any bleeding, you will need to get a RC car fuel line to a plastic bottle, so it catches whats coming out.
2. Start as far from the MC as possible, which is passenger rear.
3. Hook ur bleeder kit to the nipple and crack it open. Pump the brakes until fluid comes out. Make sure to top the MC off as the fluid level goes down. You do not want it to get dry. Pump ur brakes until the fluid that comes out is clear. It will take a while because you need to empty the MC and the fluid in the line. When you are done, make sure to bleed the brakes to get all air out of it.
4. Repeat with the driver's side rear and then the front, same procedure.
Few things to keep in mind.
-Never run your MC dry.
-It is safe to have ur pedal all th way in with the MC open (I didnt think so but...)
-DOT4 is compatible with DOT3, but not with DOT5.
-Brake fluid absorbs humidity, whatever you have left is garbage, do not reuse it unless it is stored in a dry *** place.
-MAKE SURE TO BLEED BEFORE PUTTING THE WHEELS BACK ON, AIR WILL GET INTO THE SYSTEM
Gooday to all!

Good write up?
Oh, and if I spend the weekend in MTL what are the chances of my car getting broken into? I am thinking about it and I have heard stories.
thanks,
Cheers!
