type r exhaust
Hey guys,
I have a few simple questions that I need answered for my type r exhaust setup.
1) Do I need to use a heat shield for the bottom portion of the stock cat for a type r?
2) How does the gasket look like for the joint of the b-pipe exhaust, and the cat convertor? Does it look like a flat piece of gasket that goes over the screw holes or does it look like a ring type?
3) How does the rear exhaust pipe screw in? I have these two screws that look like how the front part of the cat joins in with the header, but with no springs. I was wondering if i need springs for those.
BTW: this is being installed on my 1999 LS so thats why I'm asking all of these questions. Thanks.

thats not what i'm asking for. I'd like my questions answered up above. My main concerns are:
1) do I need springs for the rear axel back exhaust, because I do not have them,
2) what type of gasket do I need for the connection between the b-pipe and the cat convertor.
