Default best performance rim/tire sizes for 4th gen?

im looking into getting rims and tires for my 92. im currently running the stock 15" with some pepboy tires, and with 300whp traction is an issue. hopefully i will reach 500 when my new lovefab mani comes in to replace my cheapo cast mani. anyway, basically my questions are should i get 15's or 16's? whats the biggest tire size i can run on 7" tires? would 8"ers fit?. also im torn between the bfg drag radials and the falken rt 615s can someone give pros and cons between the two? also any opinions on the j-mags (fake m7's), or the slips, and what color for my black 4th gen. or should i just keep my stockies and get new tires. im just looking for the best performing tire i can get. and drag is more important than cornering, but dont get me wrong cornering has to also be good. any and all help appreciated. thanks, anthony

if optimum cornering is not an issue then 225/45/16 is a good choice and will be fine on a 7" rim....8" would be better for cornering but not necessary......i like it on the 7" because the tire prevents you from curbing the rim
