Default civic d16z6 head upgrade

I am putting the gude head package on my d16z6 and I plan to go turbo after I can afford it. When I install the head should I reduce compression with a gasket kit? Will it be ok until I increase the compression with the turbo? Also will the ECU be good for both na and turbo? Any help is appreciated

arp, and a cometic headgasket. if i were you i would put the headgasket and studs on when putting the head on. seeing that you will have to put one on there anyways. and that way you wont have to doit again.

use a regular gasket, and you will need to chip the ecu.

why would you put a regular headgasket on there? for a extra 30 bucks he can get a good one, lower the compression, and that will be one last thing that can break on the car sooner. Chipping the ecu? are you serious. i hope you mean uberdata.. or maybe neptune..

The gude package already comes with the ecu...but will it work both before and after I turbo charge it? The head gasket cometic? is that the best one to use to lower compression?

You really need to explain a little better on what you're trying to do...you definitely lost me.

I have the head package from gude already, it comes with ecu and complete top end. I want to turbo charge the car later. Should I reduce compression with gasket? And will the ecu from gude work after i turbocharge? Thanks

This is a VERY old thread, so it's unlikely to yield a response. You should PM the OP or create a new thread.
