Default b16a 'jdm' wiring harness --> jdm/swap experts help!!!

alright, I have a wiring harness that allegedly is a genuine b16/crx harness from an SiR. The harness looks good and everyhing plugs in where it should, but the driver side connector is different. the jdm harness has a 12 pin connector and stock is only 8, what are the extra wires for?
I have a modified Si harness running my b16 now, and the connector is still the stock 8 pin and everything runs fine. Can I just swap the harness, and the connector on the bay harness and leave the extra 4 wires unhooked, or do I need to run them to something?

The Harness is completely backwards isn't it? Everything is reversed in the JDM engine bays, and the ECU is on the other side. That stuff isn't going to just plug up. That's why everyone just modifies their existing harness.

yeah bro your straight dont even worry about trying to use the harness but if you got an ecu that doesnt use a knock sensor then you dont have to wire it up. to check if your ecu runs a knock then open it up and if its got 2 computer boards then it runs the knock sensor

all of the other plugs are in the right places, the only difference (besides the vtec solenoid plugs and the o2 sensor) is the 4 extra wires, and since this came from a guy who had it wired up in his usdm crx, im pretty sure it can be done. It could have come out of a lhd b16 equipped crx, from somewhere like Germany.

but I guess I'll run the modded Si harness for now...
