Dealer parts are expensive!
I went to my local dealer today to pick up some stuff. I didn't even ask how much it was because I don't usually care. Wireset was 81, cap was 23.50, Rotor was 21.25, get this tho, spark plugs are 19.85 each! With the rotor to coil wire it was 241.13. These spark plugs better be like pure gold.

And what would you say about almost $200 for a wireset ????
It is Honda of Europe price (everything is 2x to 3x more expensive than in USA)
Another exemple: the upper arm costs about $400 ($140 at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com).

because non-genuine honda parts work just the same as Honda parts. What is the point in posting a thread complaining about how expensive the stealership is? We all already know this and it's probably the reason why some of us just go to our local Auto Zone or any other parts store
One more thing, why did you spend $20 for each spark plug when you could've gotten some for about $2 each for the same NGK OE spec plugs from O'Riley's or something

Who cares. Just buy more $2 plugs when the time comes.

i just started working in the service dept. its real slow work and one day i came to the conclusion that it is expensive becasue you are paying for so many people to work with your car from the mechanic, mechanic's supervisor, parts people, porters, the claening guys. and so on. i think labor is like 80 and hour. your better off buying the guinuine parts and takeing them to a independent shop.
How to tell if you got screwed...
When you drive away, look in your rearview mirror. If everyone is putting on party hats and opening bottles of champaign, you got screwed !!

If you wanted OEM, you could've save a ton getting everything straight from Honda online. Plugs are $13 each, the wireset is $67, the cap is $16, and the rotor is $14. A little pointing and clicking would've saved you about $80, and that's with shipping.

next time you are better off getting denso iridiums than paying 20 bucks per oem plug.
for the wireset you should just get the ngk blues, but the cap and rotor was money well spent.</TD></TR></TABLE>
