me and a friend were installing a SAFC on a 97 civic hatch with B16a2 and one of the monitoring permiters is knock value well the car sometimes fluctuates from 1-2 and on other days as high as 24 what is this and why is it so high.

just curious and is it damaging my engine?

Just the first google result for "What is engine knock" but I didnt read through it. Theres lots more results if that one doesnt help just search it.

As far as what is causing your knocking problem I have no idea sorry.
