i was on the net and found an intake manifold for my gsr i was woundering if the OBX intake manifold was good or what kind should i buy????

 

Before you get a mani, what other mods do you have?

That don't do much unless you have boost or cams.

well said. without headwork yo will probably lose power with that manifold through out the whole powerband and maybe gain a tiny bit up top

 

then do yuo think i should just take the stock one off and get it port and polished

 

a pnp stock manifold is much better...but still would benefit the MOST from upgraded headwork

 

just get some camshafts first before you think about upgrading the manifold. trust me

 

If you do a simple search, you'll find thousands of threads regarding intake manifolds; ie.. aebs, skunk2, blox, jdmshit, obx, etc.

obx has been making products for imports for quite a few years now, so with that said, they are pretty reputable as is. Do I know anything about obx intake manifolds? personally, NO I dont. But as the others have stated, working on your internals, ie. cams/valvetrain/valves/p&p, will yield better gains than upgrading the intake manifold at this time.

how much for the skunk 2 cams

 

lookin to shell out about 500. and after that you still gotta think about tuning it..which should run you about another 500 (management system and tuning). then the manifold should run you about 250 if you want a sk2. soo in all a good 1200 for 20whp :-D...but i'd do it because imma all motor *****...the turbo bug hasn't bitten me yet..
