this is a typical teg tranny problem.....u dont have to turn the car off and restart it, simply release the clutch pedal and push it again or just put it into 2nd and then back into 1 and it will slide right in

I had an Integra for 4 years and didn't have this "Typical" problem

The only time I had an issue that is close to what you are describing is when I broke my clutch disc. If you break the disc or the springs in the hub, you will have trouble getting in and out of gear.

the thing about his clutch though is it still grabs hard. he put the engine in about 6 months ago so the clutch isnt that old

when you turn the car off you can shift in the gears fine but when the engine is running he can go into any gear at all

I had a spring popping out of the clutch disc when I had a similar problem like that,
All of a sudden it was horrible to get into gear, but did slightly better when off.

Not exactly a "teg" issue only, it happens on other cars/trucks too.

I'm having this problem too.. but i know what's wrong with my tranny. it's my 1,2,3 gear synchro's that have cracked... so that might be one of your problems too..

mines was doing that for awhile on and off and eventually can't shift into gears anymore if the engine was running and the car not moving. the clutch is on constantly - like car jumping while starting. i had it checked out by several mechanics and they all determed it to be the clutch system. more the likely bent fingers i'm guessing. i havent fixed it yet but if i do and your problem presist, i'll let you know if mine is solved.

thanks, i aked my dad who is a mechanic and he said it could be the slave cylinder, pilot bearing or he said he needs to take longer to bleed the system and make sure there is no air

maybe you should change the tranny fluid, this happen to me once. If its not the tranny fluid then its the synchros.

This has happened to me when going into 1st. I found the quickest rememdy was just to put it into 2nd then it slides easy right into 1st.

This also happens to me when I try and put it in reverse, happens alot more then shifting into 1st.

I have the same issue, I'm going to replace the Master and Slave when the part gets here, and I hope that will fix it. I don't think it's the clutch, because when it is in gear, the clutch holds up fine.

Let us know what happens...I did not get to fix mine this weekend...Forgot to take the flywheel to get re-surface in time...Hopefully replacing my clutch this week and will be posting results...

I had this problem as well. Id say its a typical integra or any japanese made car.

Ive heard it something to do with very small shifting ranges, but when i say taht it doesn't make a lot of sence.
