Well, my Prelude has been acting up lately.
Sometimes I'll just go hop in the car, fire her up, and take off. But, there are times when I'll go to start it and it will just sit there and crank, but not turn over.
Also, I don't know if this is a mental thing, but it seems that the car only does this when it's hot out?
Also, I can crank it for 10 minutes and nothing will happen, then 10 minutes later I can try again and it will fire right up.
Any help would be appreciated

umm, actually they're 2 different parts.
sounds like the trademark symtoms of a main relay.
could possibly you're ignition module in your distributor though.

I had the same problem at one time - there is a way to delay the problem by taking the relay out and resoldering the contact points.

There was a recall on the ignition switch. Just go to your nearest Honda Stealership and they can tell you if you car was one of the many in that recall and replace it for FREE

Right on, I didn't even think about that.
If that doesn't work, I have found that punching the steering wheel actually starts it. But, with my luck, the car will retaliate and deploy the airbag into my face

No, dont waste your money on the ignition switch....it is definatly the MAIN RELAY. I just had this happen in my 89. When its hot out the solder on the main relay melts somewhat and separates thats why the car wont start. Go here for the full fix. Under common problem fixes, third one down.

just a simple suggestion, make sure you don't need to jsut replace your battery. My car was giving me the same sort of crap for months until it finally wouldnt start at all. but once i replaced the battery, all was well.
