Default d16z6 will it stand the test of me

ok i obtained a civic hb "cx" with a slightly new d16z6 with a little over 1'000 mils . i started tinkering with it u know the hole (cold air,headers,higt flow magnaflow cat , dune with all 2.25" piping back to a cheep loud muffler) its becoming a
wonder full every day driver i have no problems out of her and that frankly whers the dickens out of me......has eny one have experience tinkering with this set up and how long do u thinck this engine will last racing a 2-3 weekends a month pushing the engine around 5.500 rpms if not a little more

it will last until you start seeing black smoke. lol. There is no real telling how long it will last, you have to think about all the factors (upkeep in changing oil, tune-ups, radiator flushes...etc). So the answer is.... no-one can tell you. My advice is just keep the maintenance up, don't bounce off rev-limit, if you have one, which you should, and give it hell.

it'll last for quite some time, that's not really beating on it at all for a civic, I shift at 4600 or so (I usually shift right b4 the vtec) and at least once a day (usually) I put it to 7500 PRM's, drive it like u do (and btw that's not a setup, that's called "a waste of $" on a D16Z6), and it'll last a really long time
