Handle to pop hood snapped off, need suggestions
Hey guys,
Did a quick search and couldn't find anything to help so I figured I'd post up my problem and see what you all can suggest
Long story short, the handle you pull to open my hood has snapped off. The break isn't very clean, gluing it back on doesn't seem to be an option. How hard is it to replace the part?
Thanks guys!

it's 2 10mm bolts holding it on the side
get on the floor, and look toward it under the steering column, get a 10mm socket + extention + ratchet and just take it off, it'll come out as a whole piece, then you take the cable and push it at an angle so it comes off the lever, then you replace and put back</TD></TR></TABLE>
lol, I saw the 10mm and just started laughing.. seirously all you need on a honda is 10 and 12 lol

well.....i would suggest that you get some cable lube stuff..they sell it at most auto parts stores.....i think you just spray the cable in the end..and it'll start to seep inside the cable.....and that should make the cable easier to operate....therefore make the handle not break again...

I don't suppose anyone has the part number handy? The last time I went to the honda dealership they ordered the wrong part.

this happened to me to when I owned a 98 civic ex I just used pliers. If you want you got 3 choices
1.) go to the dealership and get a new latch
2.) go to ebay and get a new latch
3.) do what litterbox did and leave ur hood open
