Sway bar endlink -- shock knock
hey everyone, i got a 93 si. I'm pretty sure people are familiar with shock knock from the rear as this is a prelude forum. I FINALLY went down there today and wiggled my rear sway bar and it was the bottom endlink that was moving (sounds like metal to metal clunking). I just wanted to know if there is a allen key hole anywhere on the bolt cause when i tried loosening the bolt, it just spins. Also, do you think i should replace the whole endlink or is there a bushing I could buy? I reallkyl appreciate the help. Thanks again.
mine was crappy where the endlink attached to the knuckle. There is a bushing that you can change out. I'm thinking you are messing with the other end of the endlink, so I'm not sure how to help you. I think you need to replace the endlink.
Remove the bottom nut and washer. Grease up a short length of rubber hose (fuel line, water line etc) and slide it up the bolt and into the mounting hole. Replace the washer and nut. Did this to my 3rd gen about 5 years ago. It's still quiet.

The threaded portion of the endlink has a female allen key hole cut into it. iirc it should be a 6mm? allen wrench that you use to hold the threaded portion still while you get the nut off.
