Default Question about warrentie's and exhaust???

I have had my S2K (03) for about 3 months or so. Looking to get a catback. (Buddy Club most likely) I was wondering if yall could tell me if this will void my warrentie? I am going to call the dealership about this but would like to know if anyone knows before I do...

TIA

as long as you leave the stock cat alone you shouldnt have a problem.

I think it varies per dealership, too.

I know some guys in the Subaru community that say certain dealerships are more leniant about mods than others. I would venture to say that the same can be true for any car.

isnt honda responsible for the warranty, not the local dealer?

If you still have the factory warranty (36mo/36k miles), then the exhaust can't void it unless the dealer can prove that the exhaust caused the failure.

If you have an extended warranty (HondaCare or other)...this is an insurance policy, not a factory warranty. Since it is an insurance policy, the insurer can cancel the policy for a variety of reasons including mods from OEM.

each dealorship varries though. some will care and other won't.

No one has ever said anything to me when i brought my old s2000 in with a test pipe, but then again it was Acura

Go for it....meaning get a true catback exhaust system.

But dont make the mistake of getting BuddyClub! ROFL

expletive dealerships they cause everyone headaches, and headaches lead to bad drivers on the road.

I brought mine in to the dealership for an alignment. Coils (mayb 1") drop, gutted, vmount, the works. All they cared was that I would make it on the alignment rack.

haha. when i have to call Acura for alignments, i need to ask for one specific mechanic who will take the time to put 2x4's under the legs of the alignment rack so i can get my car on it
