the car is NOTICEABLY louder in the mid/high rpm range as well as a stronger pull. Under WOT you can chirp the tires going into 2nd gear.

I can chirp the tires going into second with no mods...I would like to see dyno results before/after, and I'm sure other members would too.

with just an intake on a 109hp engine ur only gonna free up about 3-4 hp, ur not gonna feel that really, mostly the sound. looks like its just enough room to put a comtech charger in there tho, unless u want to pick up groceries in a box doing over 100
i think the low end power would be just the right F_t...

CLEAN!! AND it's street legal? I"m definitely picking one up. Is it available 2 purchase? Where is the filter located btw. u think you could supply an underchassis pic? i was jus curious of where the filter is. Or u know what, lemem see this in person!!!

Actually a bit more. Today I was at Weapon-R for them to test fit their new intake, header and header back exhaust. With just there intake(short ram) I picked up 5.5whp and 6.8wtq. This was on a stock fit sport 5mt with 2k miles on it. It makes a difference you can feel. Throttle response is much better and i no longer have to downshift to 4th gear on the steep grades.
Btw with I/h/e I picked up a total of 15.4whp and 11.7 wtq. Too bad i didnt get to take the h/e home with me today, but it was mainly for r&d and still needed a few changes done to it.
Sorry to the OP i didnt mean to hijack your thread, i was just trying to make a point that installing the intake can be felt. Your aem intake looks good, cant wait to see some dyno results from it.

in my s2000 the filter is inside the front bumper, the corner just infront of the wheel well. there is some minor cutting needed to fit the pipe through the plastic....also one guy posted that he hit a puddle which caused hydrolocking on his s2000...so if u live where u encounter amounts of rain be careful...but i dont know where this model locates the filter

ya i know. I had an aem CAI on my EG previously and ive hydrolocked it only once on downpouring rain while i was doign stupid things.
That filter was located on the pass. side vent in the front bumper. I jus wanna see how the filter is located on the Fit b/c it doesn't look like it's gonna get in front of the bumper, maybe behind the radiator/ac compressor radiator.

well where the hell is the guy who posted the topic....he should chime in and tell us where his filter is...i dont think it would make sense being behind the radiator, sucking in that warmed air?

geez calm down man I'm not on HT all day!! Well maybe during the week!
anyways the intake curves down towards the passenger side wheel well and sits behind where the foglights would be located. Maybe a little more towards the wheel well. In any case it doesn't suck in warm air behind the radiator. That would defeat the whole purpose of a CAI!!

thanks, im not being aggressive i just have tendencies of terets now and then, with the location of the throttle body i would think it would be smarter to route it through the driver side unless that side has a physical barrier, the shorter the intake the better throttle response. and yes i know its not up to u its the design, im just saying...
