what to swap??
Can anyone tell me if http://www.tigerjapanese.com is a good company to buy an engine from. I saw a B16a 1st. gen. on there for $600. Is this a good engine to swap into my 1990 Integra 5 speed or should I go with a B18B? I want to turbo in the future and I am trying to keep this a low cost build. Any comments would be appreciated. Oh, I searched also so don't flame. Thanks
i would go b16 just for vtec. but the b18b would be just as good if not a little better. $600 its probably just a siR out of jdm civic, crx 158 hp. which a b18 would whip its butt on low end. or just get the 16 put the head on ls block. just trying to help.
if you are going to go boost, the b18b is a great platform to start out on.
the ls motor and boost go very well together, just take a look around the forced induction forum.

so the extra hp gain wouln't outweigh the loss in torque? What else would I have to buy to swap the B16 into the teg? The cost of the extra parts would probably be more than to swap in the B18B, right?

looks like they have some good prices, ive never seen $4900 for an entire ITR front clip
