you will lose power if the lid is off... and it will also be more prone to heatsoak..

look at his signiture in bold red....

it should be fine it wont help it thats for sure, IMO it would work better to take off the box completly and put a shield blocking the motor

What?!? Just beacuse if someone doesn't "own" an s2000, doesn't mean they don't know anything about it. If you read closer at his sig, it shows clearly that he does. Please, i own an ap1 but i know plenty about other hondas, nissans, and toyotas.

Why not do the airbox mod???

Here's some pics I took of my wife doing her airbox mod. They might answer a few questions.

ugly. and look at the blacking on the filter.....im sure your losing power because the engine is heating up the filter therefore pulling in hot air.

hahaha. This guy.

You go on here, post a question you wanted to know the answer too, then when you get the answer, you be a smart *** about it. And even better yet, you don't even appreciate it by saying you don't give a ****.

so go ahead, take the lid off your air box. If you think heat soak is good thing for your car, then be my guest. Just don't come back crying when you car feels all degraded of power. Ohh yes, but its okay though, at least your car will sound "cool".
