i'm planning to do a jdm type r swap into my 94 gsr shell.....but i wanted to knoe is wat do i need to change from the jdm engine for it to pass smog after the swap....any info would be great thx

 

the ECU, a stock USDM hader, and a stock USDM b16a intake manifold and throttle body would help

 

As well as the stock ls air box, stock exhaust and get a new cat.

 

wat type of ecu the p72,p28,p73 and as for the manifold can i just use a skunk2 manifold to pass smog or do i need a b16a manifold or can i use a usdm type r manifold.....also wat type of header the 4-2-1 or the 4-1 and would a DC header do the trick or do i have to get a oem header.....lol sry if i'm asking so much question just i never delt with tis kind of swap before so i need some info about it.....any advice would be great thx.

the skunk2 manifold will pass smog... with that jdm ITR motor.. if u dont pass the first time.. id say u save yourself lots of headaches and get it "pass" for under the table

 

A BAR rep himself told me all you need is an american ECU. Good luck.
