Default 04 RSX-S or type-r muffler

I've searched but i can't find a definite answer on which would be better. I can get both for the same price.

my setup:
JDM b18c
2-1/4 custom pipes, Cat, resonator, 4-1 header.

which one will have more flow and sound better (Better as in quite)

thnx

between those 2 id take he 200 hp 2.0l over the 1.8... for some reason it seems like the rsx one would flow better... but if i had a choice id get a 05 06 type s or a dc5-R muffler

My buddy has an 05 type s muffler on his ek coupe and it looks awesome. Quiet too, just enough loudness when he gets on it.

05 and 04 rsx mufflers are different right? is the 04 rsx muffler comparible to the gsr muffler or type-r?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ANGELIQUE &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">05 and 04 rsx mufflers are different right? is the 04 rsx muffler comparible to the gsr muffler or type-r?</TD></TR></TABLE>correct, the 02-04 are somewhat comparable to the integra gsr muffler. From 05-06 the Type S got a muffler similar to that of the JDM DC5R... not to mention the tip on the 05 06 and R look WAY better and sound quiet as stock and have a nice lil growl at higher RPMs

heres a link of some pics i found n posted https://honda-tech.com/zero...ge=71
if u look at the type r it has a lil valve so the gases can bypass all the chambers and go straight through which probably equals to way better flow and the 05 06 muffler has a similar design but has to go through at least 2 chambers no matter what... id think either would be a huge upgrade from stock. Im also gonna try to find a good clip of a dc5-r so you can get an idea of how that muffler really sounds, ive heard one and it's awesome!

but its 380 dollars from the acura dealership i was trying to get one for me eg to retain a stock look
im not much for huge exhaust little to noticable and loud i run a catback with a stock muffler for now sounds good quiet untill u lay into it and run through the gears than itll scream

nah just get a used type s exhaust on craigslist. people that ugprade their exhausts sell their stock for cheap. ive seen itr and rsx s exhausts go for like $50 cuz they just wanna get rid of it. no need if they upgrade. most are low mileage too
