I FINALLY CUT MY SPRINGS
well now that your here
lol
you guys are all about to call me a dumbass but i was wondering what you guys thought, i am trading my 90 si hatch for a 91 std
i know what your thinking WHY?
the reason i am doing this is becuase my si has flawless interior (which is going in the std) si motor with header, intake and cam gear and blown headgasket and bad axel the std hatch has twisties and everything else is stock... 72k on motor
when my si has 125k
reason i am doing this is because 1) std is lightest hatch 2)im gettin a b16 for my birthday and i would rather put it in a clean stock car. 3) ITS CLEAN
lmk what you guys think, i know spelling might be bad but bare with me please..
and my si had white front end which dont line up great and salvaged title

ok now back to topic lol.
You are aware some weight is added when you swap B in not just the motor but axles etc, STDs have wussys axles brakes and the such.
Clean is worth it depending what shape your Si is in.
Can you live with out a sunroof? Is a question to ask. I have my 91 std and love it. Most of SI interrior.
Me I'd say go for it unless your SI is in good shape body wise as well.
DPI sucks at life too

I'm all about less weight. I never use the sunroof or cruise control, so I'd rather not have that weight. I don't care for power steering much, it's just extra weight in my mind. Things like rear wipers with heavy little motors drive me crazy, too.
I'd much rather have a clean STD with the B16 and Si interior than the Si thats not quite as nice.
Thats my $.02.

DPFI sucks HELLA lol, i can live without a sunroof but might do an aftermarket one is they are "good" (no leaks, nice etc) but si was like sidswiped by a mirror or somehting and has like a small dent line like 1 ft long... yea it does add weight but good weight
Your SI isn't in bad shape at all and I would love Cruise in my honda, that and well the 5490809685409685906490682579837 other reasons are why I daily my ls1.
I still say go with it and no extra weight is good weight

hes talking about that your getting a b16 for free
now im guessing your just getting the longblock for free. in which case your still going to need axles, mounts, shift linkage, ecu, wiring, mount brackets, throttle cable, radiator hoses, transmission, and it would be the best time to get a nice clutch and drivetrain going.
thats all unless your getting a "complete swap" instead of just the motor.
but your in for more work and money than you think, if you wanna do it right the first time
