a/c only works sometimes?

i really cant figure this out, ive checked all the wiring, but when i turn my a/c on, the compressor only kicks on sometimes, and when it doesnt, the car gets idle spikes. anyone else have this problem? any solutions?

the compressor needs to be serviced. check the power going to the compressor.
