my boy topped out his type R at about 160, and I once topped my stock Ls to 140 ans I was at lil less than 6k on 5th gear, so Im thinking since the gear ratio and final drive on an ls are longer than a type R, the Ls should be able to top that with enough power (right?), can anyone support my theory?

 

boosted maybe, not w/ just bolt ons, but be carefuly boosting in 5th, make sure ur tuned right

 

you do not drive a ferrari or any other type of supercar...youre going to kill someone taking 20 mins to get to 140...

how did you go 160 in a r and 140 in an ls? were you going downhill? in car and driver tests the R topped out @ 143, gsr @ 133.

dont be ridiculous dude...they tuned the turbo timer on the R and ran 10's

 

you have to have the power to get it up there first

and you better hope that god is with you at the speed, crashing at the speed will kill quickly, or else you will be disabled for life

LOL, I did 155 in my buddies Prelude way late night on a 4 lane freeway where we could see tailights for days. Scary as fawk, seriously, I would not recommend it for anyone who is not on a track. The truth is a had a very strong motor in my GSR and I got it up to about 135 and it took way to long so if you are going to try it in an LS it better be boosted and you should do it on a track.

takes about a minute 30 to get from 80 to 140 to 145

that last 5mph def takes about 30 seconds on its own

so probably 2 minutes from 80-150

im with you man, a friend of mine was hit by some ******* ricer going like 120 on 95N lost control slammed my buddy in his f-350, sent it over the guardrail, up into a telephone pole, ejecting his girl thru the sunroof, killed her, he died on impact and a girl in the back survived, all b/c some dumb expletive had to do 120 in his so fast civic, i lost 2 ppl close to me. if u wanna go fast, take it to the ******* track

top speed run isnt smart

 

ive done it 2 times out on the interstate @ 3am when i first got the supercharger. i think i stoped @ 158, i got to scared to keep going so gave up there, havent done it since.

 

I have i/h/e and i've been 143 in my LS, its not hard you just need smooth and long empty road, this was a long time ago, i dont think i'd do it again. Stupid things i did.

 

What aerodynamic modifications do you have done to your Integra? Any that will create real down-force? I believe a stock Integra creates over 500lbs of lift at 150mph, verses, perhaps, a Ferrari Enzo that makes a good 200-300lbs of down-force at the same speed. Good luck to you on that one.

Oh, can you let me know when you plan on doing this run, that way I can make extra sure to not be on the road.

 

I have hit 159 mph in my LS/VTEC turbo setup on the track but like stated before, you need the power Thats on an LS tranny btw.
