Default OT: labor estimate question

Hi guys...
I posted this in the appropriate forum first, but I suspect I will get an answer quicker here, and likely more informative as the TL forum doesnt see alot of activity and most of the posts are about body kits and wheels from what I can see anyway.
I've got a TL-S (02) that started making some noises.
Took it to my local dealer and they claim 3 wheel bearings are bad, 2 front, 1 rear.
They have estimated 7.5 hours labor to fix, and ~250.00 in parts.
Is this fair?

Thanks for any input!!

Parts and labor sound about right. What I'd be most curious about is how 3 wheel bearings went bad at the same time.

250 for wheel bearings? Holy hell. Dont know what they cost for a TL but I picked up 2 fronts for 85 bucks!

Yeah I wonder how 3 went out at the same time too.
The mechanic said he had never seen that in 22 years...
They are quoting me around 80$ per bearing.

How mechanically inclined are you? If you are, see if Len can get you the bearings, then all you have to do is take the bearings and hubs to a machine shop and have them pressed in. They would probably charge about 20 per.

if not, still get them from Len, and bring them the mechanic. could save $180-$200 there!

Len is great, wubz Len
