Labor estimate for wheel bearing replacement
Do you think 7.5 hours labor is a fair estimate for replacing 3 wheel bearings (2 front, 1 rear) on a 2002 TL-S?
This is what my local dealer estimated (and ~250.00 for parts).
Thanks!!

truthfully sounds about right to me. they are going to have to pull both front suspensions apart to get the axels out then rip the calipers off and the wheel hubs to get to them and then reassemble it all. As for the rear it shouldnt be too hard unless the rear brakes are drum in disk but I dont think they are in the TL.
Thanks for the reply!
I don't think its too bad of a deal, the labor seemed a little high.
And yeah, its just disc, no drums.

Well there are 2 types of rear disk brakes honda uses just pure disk brakes and drum in disk brakes. On drum in disk brakes the drum brake mechanism is used only for the parking brake operation and during normal braking the disk brakes are the only part of the brakes that are used. This setup is used mainly in hondas larger vehicles but may have been incorperated into the TL as well.
