Torque specs, and valve clearance on a B18C type R (jdm)
I'm rebuilding my motor, does anyone know the specs for the torque settings and the valve clearance or where it can be found? For a 97' B18C Type R motor.
Thank you in advance!

i'm not sure about jdm motors but usdm c5's are .006 - .007" intake and .007 - .008" exhaust *cold. i don't think there is any difference between jdm and usdm heads so i'd say it'd be safe to go with usdm valve lash specs.

when you say .006-.007int and .007-.008 ex
does that mean you can run .006in & .007ex or .007in & .008ex
what about .006in & .008ex or .007in & .007ex?
If i can not hear the valves ticking that mean they are still in specs and i do not in an adjustment?

anything between those values would be in spec, so .006 would be slightly loose and .007 would be a little tighter. if you havent checked it in a while it wouldnt hurt to check
