Im getting a cold air intake within a couple weeks so i thought i'd screw around with the stock housing and intake tube. I got the housing out fine, but i had to put everything back together because i couldn't quite figure out how to get out the intake tube. ive been looking on the internet for days but i didnt find anything.

anyways, what im basically gonna do, is cut the intake tube near the bottom (just behind the front bumper, it's currently in a "U" shape, it goes from the bottom of the filter housing down behind the front bumper then back up right next to the housing where the opening is.

1) anyone have any objections to doing that?

2) how do i pull out the intake tube without completely obliterating it?
