Speedometer and seatbelt light????

Default Speedometer and seatbelt light????
I have a 90 prelude and the speedometer don't work until the seatbelt light comes on then when the light goes off the speedometer quits. Any suggustions would be helpful.

no i've never replaced any gagues or even pulled the dash. do you if the seatbelt light wires run throgh the fire wall then back to the seatbelt or do they run direct form the dash.
