Here's the deal. Right now, I drive a 97 Audi A4 2.8 quattro 5spd. I used to drive this...
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1646524
I'm not too excited about my current car, I mean it's nice and all, but the 12v v6 has no practical potential for tuning.
I miss the go-cart-on-crack vibe from my EM1. and here's what I'm considering doing.
My sister owns a red 00 EX 2dr auto ----> (bleh) It has 55xxx miles, she is the original owner, the car has 100% clean history (no problems of any flavor) and she really likes my Audi. Enough to where she agreed to trade cars wtih me if I decide that I want to.

Should I do it? I think I will, but I only have one hesitation. As far as swaps go, I will be dropping in a B18C/5spd tranny of some type, pretty much right away. The car is currently auto, so how much of a pain in the *** is it goiong to be to get it all up and running????
Kinda dumb question, I know... but I've never performed a swap before, and I want to make sureI have all the info I need before jumping into anything.
Thanks HT!!

"cool" and "piece of ****" are two very different things. I don't like the Audi because it is slow, and will never be fast, no matter what. She does'nt care about that, she likes the heated leather, power everything, classy smooth ride, etc...
Make more sense?

Then do you need anymore convincing?...Sounds like a b18c swap in the future. I dont know how hard it would be to convert a auto to manual...but there are TONs of write-ups.

She'll like it until everything starts breaking and it's sitting at the dealership every other week - then she'll wish she kept her Honda.
I couldn't tell you how many people came in to gladly trade their POS VW/Audi cars for Hondas when I worked for the dealership . . .

as for your dilema i see that you are stuck between 2 options. 1 enjoy you current car or 2 be thrust right back into what you started with minus the B16 and 5 speed and............ well you get the idea if sis is willing then take advantage. just dont be surprised if the same ******** come and take that too ..............hard work will pay off swaps are not that difficult
get friends, beer and tools and have. fun rebuilding means your dedicated to what you do
either way i say do it
GOOD LUCK

Well, I moved so hopefully the new neighborhood and knowledge learned will help keep the next one safe.
All I know, is that I'm too young to drive a boring car. The Audi is boring, the stock EX is boring too... But it has potential to be pretty much exactly than what I had before.
HAHA, Jesus christ... You post your sister first then, k?
