if all your other bolts are in your tranny it won't fall out. but on the same token you really dont want that bolt missing, it'll but stress on the other bolts. your best bet is to get a tap set and rethread it. if it's that bad take it a shop so they can repair it., good luck!

On a scale of 1 - 10 (10 being worse) where would you rate it? Might be able to work a tap in there. If the motor in the car or out the car? If its 8 to 10 rate then youll probably have to reinsert it. I have a guy that could do that for you for a reasonable price, It will take 3 days max (depends if he has the insert or not already). PM me if you would like his info but youll need to have the block out of the car for his work.

that one bolt is not going to make a difference. i ran with out 2 of them (not knowingly) for a very long time. i would suggest putting a helicoil in it when you decide to replace the clutch or something along that line.

two bols are stripped and the motor is still in the car...i dont know a scale form 1-10 but most likley an 8 ..but the bolts tighten up but only to a certian point then it will keep spinning..and im wondering if i can get like a bolt a lil bigger then put it in but im afraid it might crack the bolck..

i had this happen too, the guy that had the the car before me let some shop change the clutch, and they used damn air tools to put the tranny back on, and they stripped it cause they were not careful. Just one luckily. I have been driving for over a year with one missing bolt. I tried to tap and die it, but it wouldnt work. I would be a bit more worried about two missing bolts though. I would take that to a shop and get it fixed.

I was removing the same bolt and this happened:

Any advice? Can I run a longer bolt through and put a nut on the other side?
