i cant find any mtl in this god forsaken town and i blew a drive axle seal the other day and im gonna replace it tonight so i can drive back to ohio this weekend. The question at hand is what weight of gear oil should i use since i cant get ahold of any mtl. i have a 99 gsr

 

Do not use any gear oil. It is way to heavy for the tranny. I assume you are looking for Manual Tranmission Fluid or Liquid? Go to the dealer it's about 4-5 bucks a quart. You can use GM syncromesh or 10w-30 as a temporary replacement.
