my friend has a JDM ZC d16 dohc tranny and civic axles, the tranny is hydro. I am wondering if that tranny will work fine with my d16z6 sohc USDM motor?!?!?!

Yes it will bolt up.
The standard tranny for the z6 is the S20 so you may want to check gear ratios to make sure your not gonna shoot yourself inthe foot and get a slower car.
