Default Project fireball! Pics inside (56k not so bad)

Project fireball finally showed up!
It's a 91 CRX Si that got a liitle too close to a brush fire. Most of the engine plastic has melted away but with my plans 90% of it would have been replaced or removed anyway.
What i'm going to do is gut it and turn it into a track car (not drag racing either). Or I may just turn it into a nice rolling chassis, sell it and let someone else fool with it.
It's going to be a long term project so updates will be far and few between.
What it needs:
Rear hatch glass *Got it!
dash cover or new dash *Got it!
engine harness, computer harness
headlights (possibly, depends on what division I end up in) *Got them!
front bumper
rocker trim
lots of rubber hose in various sizes
tires Got them*
gauge cluster (possibly) *got it
Brake master and clutch parts
probably needs a lot of bushings in the front
possibly an engine
What it has:
Perfect Si wheels
Perfect tail lights and "CRX" trim
Seats are good *Sold!
Fairly new Alpine cd player with 4 good speakers *speakers are in my other cars H/U trash!

So either way I can get my $300 back and some more.
Enough of the delay here are the pics!

Wow that thing sucks...no rust tho....hmm...I like. Come up here and pick up a rust bucket for next to nothing, and swap EVERYTHING over. The bumpers (that are plastic) look freaking mint for being in a 'brush fire'. That's gotta be a lie, thing must of shorted out and burnt a bit.

The car never actually caught fire it just got REALLY hot on the bottom side (a lot of the carpet has melted) You can't see it but the black half of the front bumper is half melted. (i took the pics with my camera phone)
When it was in the guys yard a power line came down and caught the pine tags and leaves on fire. He lost 2 sheds with a TON of car parts a chevy caprice, and a chevy astro.
The sad thing is there was nothing wrong with the car before the fire. It just had a broken hatch glass
I can't bring myself to destroy a nice car and make it a track car so this was my perfect shot at it.

Ok I did forget to include what i've done to it.
Yesterday evening I gutted most of the interior.
Carpet is gone, rear trim is gone (nothing but metal).
All of the parts had to be trashed because of mold. There was a box with 2 12's and a nice punch amp but it weighed about 100 lbs because of all the water it soaked up. Somehow the seats survived the mold.
But right now the inside is nothing but the center console and dash. i'll pull the dash next and asses the damage in there. I know i'm getting rid of the heat and a/c (track cars arent supposed to be comfortable )
Plus that adds a TON of space for engine controls, gauges and the such.
And I did notice it has exhaust on it (mainly because of the half fart can) but I havn't put it on the lift yet to see what is down there.

You will more then likely need a new rad, dizzy and most sensors since they are plastic to make the engine run again. The engine should be fine, other then being discolored. Yank her out and see what's going on. I wish I had a chance at a CRX, let alone an Si...

Yep But I do have the d16 that came out of my 94 hatch, and a box of old distributors. So a lot of the parts i'll be able to transfer and the ones that won't hopefully I will be able to get from the junkyard or hopefully a side wrecked donor (but i'm not driving all the way to canadia to get it ). The rad will just be a full race for a 92-95 civic.
BTW i'm a Honda Technician. So that should explain why i'm so willing to take on such a project.

Awesome project man. I <3 Road Race CRX's. A shell like that is a great place to start to because at least for me I don't feel bad about tearing up a nice Si. I say props to you....what body will you be in? NASA, SCCA?

You are a freaking ******, what the heck gives you the right to get all over someone when you are the "peece of ****" I mean you can't even freaking type properly and then you are going to start knocking on people. I have yet to see one of your post be easy to read without a translator and after I get it translated you never have a rational thought. So you need to be the f*ck up son.

If anybody has details on parts for me please PM me. I don't want this to turn into a WTB thread. I appreciate the support so far though.
And yes it has some rust on the drivers side but not too much. I may fix it any I might not. It's more than likely going to be flat black when I get to the painting point (still years away)

Might aswell pay the money now when it's not bad (rust/fire damage) then later on. Fire buns paint...and without paint it oxidises with the elements of nature. Your rex will be a POS without a good paint job...get her painted man...

WTB thread go on http://www.hondamarketplace.com and link it into your signature.

Actually the right side was the worst side for the burn. The paint just bubbled a little bit. For now i'll probably just cut the rust out and seal it but paint and fresh metal isn't going to come till nearly the end.

Is it even worth fixing?? I would imagine the heat from that fire warped some sections of that car. I would make sure the structure is straight before you prceed.

Start stripping her and get her ready. Make sure she is ok you know. If you decided to part her out. Let me know, I need some parts?
