If your starter is bad, then it wont crank the engine, and your car will not start. damn i am a genius, lol

On early hondas like my 92 accord the distributor goes out alot. I would check your car to see if its getting any juice. @ any auto parts store they are usually $160+ but u get a free lifetime warranty. I would seriously check your distributor!!
if he can bump start it its not going to be the distributor. It sounds like a starter or maybe a bad ign. switch. Give us more info if you want more help. What have you checked?

So have you checked to see if your starter is bad? I would go with your starter as your car is a 92. Honda starters are good for a healthy ten-eleven years, after that when they die, it's never any surprise to me.
Also make a visual inspection of your main relay box to see if the solder on the pins is cracked.

Your friend is an idiot.
Remove the starter from the car and have it tested. Does the starter solenoid click? Are you getting 12v at the starter?

If the starter just clicks when your trying to start it or even dosent click try hitting with a hammer. Yeah I know it sounds crude but it works. Does the car turn over but not start? If so it could be your coil in the dist. Or the Ignitor. The coil isnt uncommon for going bad.
The main relay is under the dash on the far lefthand side of the car. You have to open up the main relay box. A bright light and a magnifying glass will help. Just check for cracks in the solder around all of the pins. Between the age of the car and vibrations from driving, the solder gets tired and cracks develop.
If YOU do a search for "Honda main relay repair" on this board or Google, you should be able to find enough info about these.
