More power for my a6
So my manual trans/ac class went on a field trip today and everyone drove and my slow *** was in the back of the pack.I started thinking about more power but i need some help.I wanted to get a b16 but theres much more potential and savings in keeping the good ol a6.I have dsm 450s and a 1g dsm bov and thats it.My main goal is to keep my a/c and my full rad or have a eg full rad that doesnt look so ghetto(leaning).

So you're turbo?

Are you turbo yet? Well if you want to have some cheap fun, get the Greddy SOHC kit for like $1499 brand new... A sponsor on here sells it, I think you'll need to convert to OBD-I but that's about it. You could even buy a used kit for like $1000. I say just slap one of those on there and get an hour or so of tuning time in, you should have a blast.

Im not turbo yet and would like to build my own kit.Would also like to not hack up my front bumper for an intercooler.Damn im asking for wayyy to much
Why was the slow car in the back of the pack?
Fastest car should be he never has to worry to catch up.
Ok now to topic on hand, yes search around for some sohc turbo setups if thats what you want, I highly reccomend going to obd1. Sohcs have more room in bay so you can get a I/C and mani fold with out massive hacking.
I really don't like the greddy kit the turbine is fine too small if you ask me but rest meh at best.
Easy part to use is HF mani and a dsm turbo.

Home made turbo kits (the shitty kind) cost about 700$ if you do the work yourself. Vibrant has alot of little nick nacks that you can use. They sell piping for cheap. Anyways, those 700$ kits, with a good 300-400$ tune job, reach a whopping 170-200whp area! It's what I'm doing to my SOHC ZC (an A6 with a better cam). I've seen a video of a CRX with a 700$ turbo setup run some low 13s.
PS: Losing the AC right now would squeeze out a few more ponies, not to mention the gas mileage. My ac = 60kmh+windows rolled down.

it does seem you are asking toooo much of a turbo kit if you wanna keep things and not cut things and all that, but turbo will be ALOT faster and cheaper to get the power you want than NA
jrsc is a great choice,no lag, carb legal, fun "dd", gives a nice bump in hp and tq, i think youll be happy if you need more info hit up (streetwerkz).unless your looking for peak horsepower than just piece a turbo together.
