Default What is the ignition control solenoid valve?

What is the ignition control solenoid valve on an 3rd gen Accord and could it be responsible for my car to run too rich?

Are u talking about the vacuum control on the side of the distributor?

Well sort of....

My vacuum control has two ports with two vac hoses. I think one goes to the intake manifold and the other goes to the ignition control solenoid valve on my 1989 LXi. I'm not entirely sure because I have a 1987 Accord manual and there are a few differences on the 1989.

Basically I'm trying to check this solenoid but I can't find much information on it here. I guess they're kind of outdated?
