Default Is my toda header for a b18c5 or b16A? I have pics.

I just installed this header on my type r. I know toda header has good ground clearance, but this looks a little too good. I'm a bit worried. It seemed to be very close to my oil pan. The pics are kinda dark. Is this toda header for a b18c5 or a b16a? I had a jdm type R header before and it sat much lower. My exhaust had good clearance from the shift linkage before, but with the toda header it sits about 1/2 inch away from the shift linkage.

Shouldn't you have known this before putting it on the car? I am assuming you bought the piece used, how did the seller advertise it?

Arent they the same anyway? The Toda header has GREAT clearance, perhaps better than OEM.

toda header comes in b16b and b18c versions. since these are both long blocks, ground clearance should be the same with either version. the only way to know which is which is to measure the diameter of your header secondary pipes, b16b = 48mm, b18c = 50mm

2: work on your pictures a little bit before posting, it's an eye sore every time you have to scroll to the right for any picture

because of your pics, i am now MORE convinced than ever that i will upgrade to the TODA just because of the ground clearance. if you guys saw my driveway, you'd know why. i always knew it was good before, but damn, that is reaaallly excellent clearance

If the shift linkage does not touch the header, or any has no contact with anything at all, then your clearance should be fine-It depends on where you got it from also, whether individual or direct sales. Nice headers btw.

The header has the best clearance i have seen. I was really scared because it looked like it had a little too much clearance i though i had a b16 header. If it is in fact a b18 header the oil pan will get dented before the header. I measured the secondary pipe like someone stated and the diameter was about 16.5cm. Does that help? I'm still trying to find out how i can the tell difference between the b16 and b18 toda header. I have read that the toda header is a night and day difference compared to the jdm itr 4-1 header and since i have switched i can not feel a difference on the butt dyno It feels the same.

i took the pics down because they were not that clear. I will get some more later. I really don't see the hype with the toda header i could not feel the difference.
