If you are that concerned about scratching them, Take them off however, and buy new ones. Why do you care about scratching them anyways?

And if you dont have locks, why do you have a "lug key"?

If so much care goes into just your lug nuts, I'm afraid to see your paranoia on other parts of your car. Lug nuts aren't meant to be kept in mint condition since a lot of torque goes into tightening and loosening them. I say, don't stress over them? And if they're really expensive... Then buy some cheaper ones.

Duuuuude. Relax. It is just a lugnut. Do you do the same thing with your motor mount bolts?
