Everysince I bought my car, I've noticed that when the antenna is going down that it made the repeated clicking noise, but now I noticed that it does it when going up too. Anyone know what causes this and what could be a possible fix?

 

well, i noticed that my integra antenna does not even go down anymore, it just stays up...i wonder why.

 

try lubing it while someone opens and cloes it, but you may have some damaged teeth on your antenna mast, you will know when it breaks cuz it will stop working.

 

damged teeth it might get a little quiter if u lube it i had same prob

 

And what should I use to lube it? I don't want anything getting into the motor and then that kill it.

 

as stated above, mine used to do that and now its stuck in the upright position. I'm just going to find another one or get rid of mine. I tried lubing it up when it first started, but it only worked for a few days, then back to the clunking noise.
