Default so i ran out of gas today...

okay, so I ran out of gas today on my way to the gas station but luckily i live about 1.5 miles away from the gas station. anyways, so my bike dies and i try to start it up really quick again (im an idiot ) then I decide to leave it in a driveway (a friend of mines house, luckily he lives in the same neighborhood as I do). then I walk to my house about a half mile away and get in my car with an empty gas can. i come back with a little over a gallon of gas and fill her up. well my bike decided not to start up again. so by this time im thinking its a relay or my battery died from the multiple attempts to start the bike with no gas. anyways, luckily my friend gets to his house right after i filled up my tank. after i tried to start it up for the second time, i decide to try and bunny start it with my friends help. so I pop it in 2nd, and my friend helps me push the bike to about 10 mph and then I drop the clutch. my bike starts and im off to my house. well now that its in my garage i wanted to see if it started up again to see if anything was wrong, and it started right up. so im guessing i just made my battery crap out, could it be anything else? thanks

its an 01 f4i, and I noticed that my bikes clock was reset, further convincing me it was my battery.

Sounds like you killed the battery with the restarts.

Charge your battery. It'll be fine (if it's still relatively new).

Ya what he said! It you keep doing it, it will mess up the battery and you will have to buy a new one. Fill up often.

i find it a little easier in 2nd. i've had to do it a couple times due to the battery dying.
