Hey I'm new. check out my accords f'd tranny. 56k die
Hello I recently bought a h22a powerd 93 accord ex. AFter i got it home i looked under it and there is a fatty chunk taken out of the tranny housing . I'd like some advice on what i should do about this, the flywheel is partially exposed and it seems unbalanced when running( like it kinda wobbles) which is not good. Take a look, any advice is welcome. thanks. [IMG]http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wMTI1MTE0MDZzNDEzZGZkMzF5NTQx.jpg

ahaha what did you hit?
And.. it looks like you'll need a new tranny casing or new tranny probably because you can't weld that or anything.

That was my first thought.
That was my first thought.
I looked under it but i couldn't see the damage cause the car is lowered and it is dark under there. I didnt relize the damage until i had the car on ramps. What is the average price for a h22 tranny?

Doesn't look like he hit anything to me. It looks EXACTLY like this thread I read while ago where the guy was trying to change his timing belt and in his attempt to loosen the crank pulley bolt he had stuck a screw inbetween the tranny case and the flywheel to keep the assmebly from spinning while he loosened the bolt. As he tried to loosen the crank pulley bolt, SNAP!, and that is how his tranny looked after. If I can find the thread I'll post it, but it was from quite a while ago.
Edit:
ok, I found that thread. Took a little while but I found it.
A HOW NOT TO on Crank Pulley advice
The pictures are no longer up but if you really want to see what it looked like or if you (the OP) would like to know how he fixed it I'm sure you could just IM and ask.
