Ok so i have a 96 gsr manual 2dr and i have recently gone to the mechanic and to the emmisions place and they try to run my obd for any codes and it just errors out, and it is definetly the plug, and i have no idea how those things work or what to do about it. is there any idiot proof way to fix them or is it a bigger problem, and what would i need to buy and where? thanks

sounds crazy but i took my wifes car (01 Chevy Cavalier, don't laugh it was free!) to get it inspected and it did the same thing. ended up being the cigarette lighter fuse was bad. we replaced it and then it processed. the guy said it happens a lot.

 

hmm well my cigarette lighter doesn't work so maybe that is a part of it, but the fuse isn't bad so i don't know what that is. but is a 96 gsr body with a LS engine swap into it when it got stolen and the engine was part of the parts taken from it. and it is a newly purchased car for me. i've had it for about 2 months.

 

What year is the engine? There was a similar problem a few weeks ago from another gentleman from NY...

THis is a problem that needs to be addressed by the previous owner...

 

i'm not sure what year the engine was but it was bought as a used engine and it has a little shy of 100k on it.
