issue with clutch/tranny?!?! long post....
my car has been sitting for about 2 years (starting it up about every month or so) for several reasons. anyway i decided it was time to get it running again. i took the head to jack (P1 automotive) to check it out, come to find out i had 8 bent exhaust valves.he fixed that and put toda valve springs in it. (trying to keep it simple for now). so i bring it home, hone the cylinders, checked out the pistons and added a victor x intake manifold. had a few slight problems, my ecu was gone and my air temperature sensor was melted. Fixed those issues after several calls to kenny (black r) and max (an awesome mechanic/friend here in charlotte) so here's whats going on now. i installed a new slave and master slave cylinder becasue my clutch pedal was sticking and now it will not go into gear consistently. i have switched them out 4 times, adjusted the master slave rod and clutch pedal, bled the clutch for hours on end. i did not mess with the tranny AT ALL. everytime i get it to go into gear (its like a second job when i do get to drive it) and drive it for about an hour or so i wake up the next morning and have the problem again. then back to adjusting the rod again to make it work. it sounds to me like the jam nut would be coming loose forcing the rod to unadjust itself but that is not the problem. anybody know of any troubleshooting ideas before i have to take apart the tranny? oh btw the clutch is fairly new2200lb ACT w/ stock flywheel.
its a c5 in an eg hatch i figure they all work pretty much the same as far as the clutch is concerned. i am asking you guys because i am always in the type-r section even though its an eg issue.
any suggestions??

I've been having a very similar issue for the last 3 months as well. I have replaced the clutch mc, slave cylinder and hard line, in addition to the reservoir cap and hose leading from the reservoir to the mc. Put a second mc in tonight at re-bled the system, I'll know tomorrow if it did any good.
Sorry I can't offer any help, but at least you know that you're not the only one with this issue...

I was gonna refer him to you.
OP, Is your pedal losing pressure? Or is the pedal staying the same?

I'm reading your post from my phone so I hope I didn't miss this....but after sitting for so long have you changed the tranny fluid?
Had a somewhat similar issue years ago on a 4th gen civic that sat for at least a couple of years.
