Default cracked maifold!!!!!

Im in the process of getting me 96 dx ek hatch smoggged and its throwing a code for a 02 sensor... so i baught the sensor and was going replace it but now i noticed a crack in the stock manifold and pretty sure thats the culprit.

If i cant find a stock one used would a ebay header bolt right in and connect with the stock exhaust piping?

Your typical eBay header isn't CARB legal. Don't forget you're going to need a catalytic convertor, which on the D16Y7 is integrated into the manifold.

It will work but you won't have the catalytic converter anymore...you'll fail smog. You need a 96+ DX manifold, or a new manifold + catalytic converter.

As someone else stated, wasn't there a recall for these manifolds cracking? Call the dealer and ask.

Look in the classifieds here and craigslist. http://www.thepartsbin.com has some oem style ones for sale that are cheaper than from Honda, but they still cost around $300.

Just try to find a welder that will weld cast. It can be done. Or just fix it yourself. I used a product made by LOC-TITE that is designed for this purpose. It has worked great so far. The fix is about 8-9 months old now.
