Default I finally found something to clean my 5th gen. headlights with!

Ok, my BB6 prelude lights were crap, by far the ugliest part on my car....i tried lots of crap to get them cleared up and nothing worked good.

The other day i tried som Meguiar's PlastX Clear Plastic cleaner and polish, and that crap worked really good for me.

I just thought i would spread the word!

Wet sanding the headlights is the only way to actually see good results. I've done mine several times and they look almost brand new.

Yup!

I wetsand them, then use a 3M scratch remover/filler, and then polish them.

There's a thread about the whole procedure here somewhere.

To wetsand.... you just keep them wet as you sand with 2000 grit sandpaper? Do you make circular motions or straight? How do you know when to stop sanding?

Im afraid to expletive something up!

Never go in a circular motion.

This will help you out.

Except I wouldnt use a dremel. I used one on my headlights and it warped through the plastic b/c the Rpm's from the dremel were too fast. Now I have tiny warp marks when you turn the headlights on at night.

get some high-grade polishing compound and a buffing wheel. I restored the headlights on a 275,000 mile 2nd gen Integra with that method. It only took me about 1/2 hour, too.
