Apparently nobody over in the Integra forum cares about cars that are more than 5 years old, soooooooo, I will post my question here.
My CRX was stolen and stripped a few weeks ago and I am looking for a car to drive around until I can piece the Rex back together. Well today I went and looked at an 88 Integra....looked to be in fairly good condition and the price is right. I just wanted to learn a bit more about the car before I bought it....
One of my questions is "What engine came in the 88 Integra LS?"
If anyone could answer this for me or point me in the right direction to find an answer (ie. a web adress) i would really appreciate it!!!

D16A1 for the 86-87, i heard its a d16a3 of the 88-89, but i may be wrong on the 2nd part...

 

I did some searching and found that 88-89 Integra LS = d16a3
Anyone have the scoop on this engine?
When I looked at it, it looked like a DOHC ZC....weird.
Im not at all familiar with this car or engine..any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated!!

 

it basically is a ZC, just a detuned version, lower compression, and less agressive cams...they swap into a 84-87 civic/crx(86-87 teg) easily...the 88-89 are a little harder because of the distributor...
