Default The perfect or best upgrade for my accord.

Hi, I am new to the whole car thing but I was wondering if someone (who knows what they are talking about) could help me compile a list of parts to work towards in making my honda accord fast.

I have a 2002 Honda ACCORD LX five speed. I want to put a turbo in it, but what other parts and what turbo etc. I don't what times I want but I want to kick any v6's *** and maybe hang with v8s if that means anything PLEASE LEAVE A LIST NAME OR ANYTHING!!!

thanks.

well, if you want to go turbo, and what good engine management that doesnt cost a lot(or free), you're gona have to go ob1.

best upgrade for your car would be complete maintenance.

i feel like typeing soooooo

YOU can get a nice H22a Jdm motor and keep the f series trans on it
Then u resleeve it and get beautifull forged rods, pistons, etc, stronger studs oo yea and i would also keep the comp. around 9
Then fuel management of course.
rail, pump. so on so forth
I would also do a nice vavle job because ur going to have a lot of pressure
get a Hks turbo kit and then upgrade the turbo to run 30psi
Get a HUGE intercooler and a 5in downpipe LOL
Stage 4 axles
Aem universal ecu and crazy tunning
9in wide sliks and BBOOOOOMMMM!
9sec GUARNTEEEEDDD!

yeahhhhhhhhhh...................... LOL

I love these I want turbo but don't have a clue threads.

Search and read in the FI forum and then come back with some specific questions please.

Look at Drag or Turbonetics kits that's about all that's available for 6th gens other than a custom setup.

go to howstuffworks.com or somewhere and learn how an enigne actually works, then look up how a turbo works to make more power, and look up suspension, etx. that way, when people answer your questions you'll understand them. YOU HAVE TO DO SOME RESEARCH YOURSELF BEFORE YOU CAN EXPECT OTHERS TO HELP YOU!!! and at least know the basics about engines, suspension, etc.

well if you want to hand with v8's, you gotta have a turbo, NA just physically can't do it. you can get a deacent turbo kit for $3K and up. and if you want real power, you can rebuild the engine with better pistons and rods (~1k). but you GOT TO HAVE a drive line and suspension and brakes to handle that kind of power too, make sure you factor all that stuff in. 300whp on any otherwise STOCK 4 cylinder is a death wish.

thats the biggest bs ive ever heard. please stop spreading false information. there are plenty of NA setups that smoke v8's. hell, an h22 can simply hang with them, now imagine one that is mildly modified. go search 2point6 and then come back and tell me if its really physically impossible for NA to beat v8's.

300whp is not a death wish on a block. ive seen plenty of setups running with that power for a long time now, tuning is key.

a decent turbo kit? what do you call decent? those prefab 'kits' that you buy are ****, PERIOD. look at the engine management they come with, either none or some stupid hack.

please, PLEASE do your research and stop spreading false information.

the smartass response:
go to ebay buy a **** load of TYPE-R decals, buy a **** load stickers, a red H emblem, a momo steering wheel, 20 inch chrome rims.

the real answer:
swap in an H22 with LSD MT....average cost 2,300 USD. total cost with installation and slight modification...avg 3,500-4,000 USD.

hahahhahah

unless you are willing to go all out, dont throw money at the accords power train....rather, spend the money on suspension, wheels, and tires. Id take a good handeling stock accord EX over a 400whp beast that is barely streetable

this is true. I had no clue how much a good suspension could do for me.

I was about to buy an engine, when i just said expletive it and bought my suspension because I was tired of seeing a damn 4 wheeler. well, that **** is tight. im sure that im happier buying my suspension than if i wuolda bought performance things for my car.
