Hey, I just bought my first EG ever so I don't know much about them. I've always had an EF for the last 6 years but I got sick of the vibrations from the polyurethane mounts.

So now I'm wondering if CXs ever came with side mouldings. I'm pretty sure its a CX, it didn't even come with tilt so I assume thats it.

Maybe or maybe not from the picture, but when I looked at the car I could tell that it didn't have Honda mouldings on it. On the front fenders there is OE ones, but on the doors and rear quarter they look like cheap mouldings you buy and stick on or something.
I hate the way they look, but I'm scared to peel them off to see what's underneath them.

Why didn't the car come with a title? It looks to be in pretty good shape.

 

CX's don't have moldings. Peel away, however, the front fender might have holes if it's a new repainted OEM fender with holes.

It's vinyl by the way

 

Hmm.. Did they all have vinyl? This one has a cloth interior.

Its got a clean title, but it is an american car. Its got a tach, but no other options, I'm sure the cluster could have easily been swapped.
I don't know about the rear speakers.

The intake is hurtin', I know.. I don't know whats up with that but it will be changed right away. Along with the fart can it came with.

It didn't come with a title or tilt steering? I have a CX and it has no side moldings, no ABS, no tilt or power anything. It's possible the previous owner replaced the fenders and they had OE moldings, it looks like it has been repainted since the engine bay is a different color so it's very possibly body work has been done. But very clean congrats on first EG...how you like it? I wish I had your engine lol.

It didn't come with tilt.
It's defintaltey been painted, and not even a really good job. But thats no biggie, it was cheap and there's no holes in it yet. I'll fix it right when its time to be painted.

 

No that's not a rear sway bar. What color you going to repaint it?

 

Ooh, if I ever paint it it will be black. I've always wanted an alllll black car. Everything but the headlights, tails, and corners, BLACK.

Yes it is. Previous owner must have put it in.

mine came with moldings from the factory.

My 92 CX has moldings. The reason why is simply that it was an option. Any car can or can not have side moldings if the original owner wanted it that way. Honda also builds some trim levels with variations to give them a different look.

 

I am guessing it is not a cx. Just look up the vin on carfax. It will tell you all you need to know.

 

Some did and some did not. I bought a used CX and the guy who had it before me must of use glue to put on the mouldings. What a hack job.

thats a cx. i have one. they didnt come with side moldings, nor did vxs. some people have taken off moldings on dx's and bondo'd the holes left behind. im pretty sure that car is a cx if thats wut the owner said it was.

 

mine did. my grandpa bought it new

 

Cx eg's came with side moldings, simple way to tell if ur car is that model, is run the vin number
