oil light comes on but oil level is fine?????????
i have a 97 turbo prelude and for some reason my oil light comes on every once in awhile blinking....... so I pull over to check the oil level and its fine???? I shut the car off and the oil light disapears... is my car not getting enough oil pressure??? when the light is on, I turn the car off and the light doesn't come on any more???? WTF??
the oil light turns on when oil pressure dips to 7psi i think it is, which is kinda retarded since with oil pressure that low, you are already damaging things....i would get a mechanical oil pressure gauge hooked up immediately, that will tell you if the stock sensor is just fucked up, or if you seriously have a problem with the oil pressure, as someone said, a tiny dent in the right place of the oil pan will have a big affect on oil pressure if that dent is right at the pickup

oil light will flash if oil press ever drops below 5 or 6 psi and then returns.. oil light will come on and stay solid if oil pres drops and stays below 5 psi..
are you using a garden hose for a oil feed line to the turbo? get a pres gauge, and lole said before, do you have a nast oil pan dent? get a mechanical guage on there ASAP

i have a cheap oil feed line, but im not driping oil..... My level of oil is right were it should be..... I guess i need to get a gauge to see exactly were oil psi is at. im gonna check the oil pan and the sensor today.
