prior to taking my car to the dealership to get serviced, i went to a local VW/Subaru dealership and got a job as a lot attendant. anyway, when i was leaving the lot, i put it in reverse (04 DC5) and then stopped, went to cut the wheel and it locked up while the car was running? should i be concerned? has this happend to anyone?

yes. you should be very concerned. Sounds like your ignition like needs to be looked over.
