What rear sway bar?

I wouldn't bother in that case. They use threaded rod ends that pivot on their bars. If you're going to buy a chassis stiffening piece, I'd at least do it right the first time and get something that has some structural rigidity.

The del Sol doesn't have any less chassis rigidity than a Civic at the points that "strut bars" attempt to stiffen. The del Sol's problem is that it doesn't have a roof integrated into the unibody . . .

ST makes decent sway bars, though I don't have any personal experience with that 19mm model. I'd be interested to see the mounting setup; the '96-00 Civic has a notoriously weak rear subframe and I wouldn't want to risk tear-out.

What all do you have already?

first thing would be good coilovers / spring and shock combo.... then be sways.. front a rear.. then bars?? IMO the best strut bars are cusco and EM racing.. EM racing you car get the monkey bars for the trunk

If I were you, I would do things in this order:
- dampers, springs, and alignment first
- tires and wheels next
- then sway bars
- brakes
- bushings and strut braces last

I disagree. The EM Racing stuff also uses pivoting threaded rod ends, and most of the stuff they make is useless crap, particularly that trunk garbage. The "best" strut tower braces are solid pieces with no pivoting joints - like OEM Honda, Neuspeed, PasswordJDM, Mugen, etc. Even the benefits from those pieces are still marginal compared to the more important active suspension components (springs, sway bars, and dampers).

Honest opinion, try out autocrossing if you have one near your area, then you would feel and appreciate more what strut bars and sway bars can do for you.
You could get a good sway bar and still end up understeering... that or spinning out.
but anyway if you were to buy strut bars, get all four. To me, I have one 1 piece and the rest, those cheapo type bars. I would say they still make a good difference.

Are you just itching to spend money or something? There is nothing "cheap" that is really going to help you much. Cars are an expensive hobby.
